PathAway provides a comprehensive set of tools for outdoor navigation. Users can create custom routes, record their tracks, and mark points of interest with text, photos, or videos. The app allows for offline navigation using free online maps, which can be saved for access even in areas with no cellular reception.

User points of interest come with options to add text, photos, videos, or icons and support file formats like GPX and KML for seamless import/export actions. The navigation features include the ability to navigate directly to points or follow multi-point routes effortlessly.

Aside from functional aspects like alarms for route deviations and compass support for directional navigation at low speeds, PathAway also offers location sharing capabilities that allow users to share their location with friends in real-time.

While using PathAway for extended periods may impact battery life due to continuous GPS operation in the background (configurable through settings), the app provides a 15-day free trial for users to explore its features before opting for subscription plans like LE (basic), Express (map customization), or Pro (advanced features) through in-app purchases.
